finally. family time.

The heat has finally broken here, and tonight after dinner seemed like an ideal time to get outside as an entire family. With a recent vacation, schedules and commitments, it's been a while since the five of us have had a chance to lounge so freely. If nothing else, it was a great chance to see how Matthew would react when trying out his new crawling skills on something other than carpet and smooth flooring.

And then someone thought it would be fun to jump off the slide. And the watered-down, parents of three children thought, strangely enough, that it wasn't such a bad idea after all. In fact, it made for great pictures. (And then the slide detached from the platform. Game over.)

Morgan's attempts weren't as superhero-like, despite Andrew's critique and reenactment.

I just couldn't stop clicking.

I wish we could have played for hours. But knowing the clock was ticking and showers/baths were waiting, we said good-bye to our summer night... until next time.

Soak up that family time! Morgan and Andrew were really into standing on the slide when we were there too! Maybe put the end into the pool. That would make for some great fun!!
