reality

Sweet, right? Yeah, that's what everyone says.

This, people, is reality!

We have a big man on campus. Or so he thinks. Today was the first day of preschool for Andrew and was he ever eager to get there!

Buckled in, complete with show and tell bag, plus backpack.

Based on his experience watching Morgan, this year especially, he had expectations about how this morning would go: first on his must-have list was a backpack to hang up.

Taking a picture at the school sign was also important to him.

And a final picture before parting ways.

This milestone in Andrew's life was not just special for him, but also for me. I was the proud mom of the boy who went potty all by himself in the preschool bathroom. The proud mom who's kid said, "Goodbye!" and didn't think twice about the separation. The proud mom who stood at the secret window watching with a smile, not tears.

Andrew rocked it. His first day of preschool was great.

As soon as grace was said at dinner, he blurted out, "Let's talk about my day at preschool!" It's his turn to share, not just Morgan's. He loves the dinnertime spotlight. And we love hearing about his preschool perspectives.

Yup, definitely a big man on our campus.
